- Note on sizing: Although the hoodies come in youth sizes, the issue here will be with the sizing of the garment and the imprint. For example, if you made the full front "Where Champions Evolve" as shown above, you'd make it probably 12 or so inches wide and the corresponding height. That just flat out won't fit on a youth hoodie. You have to deal with the chest width as well as the pocket. So what you end up with is another set of screens for youth sizes. That's a three color job so this leads you to a pretty high fixed cost. This will even affect the design with the sleeve imprint, because that would need at least two sizes to look right.
I will price with two sets of screens. I have looked at transfers. Not sure you want to buy into that. It would be about $150 per design to buy transfers and have them on hand for future use. Single color designs would be about half that. The beauty of the transfers is that then we have them on hand and we can make up another of those items in a couple of days. But there is that up front cost.
After reviewing the sizes, etc. I recommend the following:
Smaller set of screens (approx 9.75: wide) for YM-AXS
Larger set of screens (approx 12 in wide) for AS and up.
Do not offer YXL or YS as an option.

Logo can be all white, or you could do some with the teal, some green and some with the blue if you like. I have the file digitized so that the swirly things can be a different color than the letters, so we are set for that. Minimums would be no issue. Color changes wouldn't make much difference.

What goes on this one? The same distressed imprint as on the other baseball tee? If so, then this would count toward the same quantity threshold and we'd just have an ink change fee of $15 to go with a white imprint here instead of grey.

The socks are a bit tricky.
There is a long lead time and some minimums involved in the acrylic knit sock. There is a sublimated option that would be more flexible in terms of size minimums and lead time, and we may get better images, but they are expensive. See attached forms. What do you think?

Sublimation Sock
Pros: we can have the design and logo we want. I think the logo might be more crisp since is printed, not knitted. The minimum is 24 of any sizes combined. The lead time is about 3 weeks, including art approval. Cons: They are not inexpensive! The price would be $13 per pair. The logo must be on the front and or the back. The socks are printed flat front and back. There is a very slight line on the sides, but in the case of this design it would probably not be very noticeable. The socks are polyester on the top and the bottom of the socks are cotton. |
Knit in Tube Sock
Pros: The socks are acrylic, and they are not very expensive. The price is $6.25. The logo is on the side of the sock. They said we can have the stripes and logo. Cons: There is a minimum of 24 of one size of the socks. After that, you can order a minimum of 12 of any other size. So, of the 5 sizes available, one of them has to be 24, and then any of the others can be 12 each. The lead time is 4 weeks after art approval, which usually takes 3 days. We could approve art in advance, but we still have lead time of 4 weeks. Also, the knit in process doesn't allow for sharp, crisp lines on the logo. |
